Your mission

As Lead Software Engineer, you technically lead and mentor the Software Engineers in C0-4AT. You combine hands-on software development with technical leadership. You set the technical direction for the team, coach Software Engineers in their growth, and create an environment where high-quality software and continuous improvement can thrive.

  • Define and drive the technical direction of the team and ensure the successful implementation of MIC’s Tech Strategy.

  • Contribute hands-on to the development, testing, review, documentation and maintenance of our software products.

  • Help deliver reliable and maintainable software throughout the entire product lifecycle, from the initial idea to production

  • Improve development processes and tooling, including CI/CD, build automation, test environments and automated testing.

  • Act as the technical leader of the team, coaching and mentoring Software Engineers while helping them grow and take ownership of their work.

  • Encourage close collaboration within the team and with Product Owners, stakeholders and other teams.

  • Support the team in improving code quality, testing and development practices.

  • Facilitate technical decision-making, challenge existing approaches and guide the team towards practical and sustainable solutions.

  • Use corporate AI tools to improve productivity and support efficient ways of working.

Job requirements

Your skills and qualifications

  • Very good knowledge of software design and architecture

  • Strong Java and database skills

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and development automation

  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift

  • Strong analytical skills and a high level of quality awareness

  • A collaborative, structured and proactive way of working

  • Strong people skills and an interest in coaching, mentoring and supporting the development of other engineers.

  • Openness to challenging existing approaches and driving sustainable improvements

  • Proficient English skills, both written and spoken
